Job summary

Stoke-on-Trent City Council is seeking a Private Sector Housing Coordinator to join our Private Sector Housing Team. This role supports the Renters Rights Act implementation, coordinating compliance activity and delivering statutory housing functions.

The successful candidate will manage and analyse service data, assist frontline officers, and act as a central contact for landlords, tenants, and internal services. A proactive, data-driven approach is essential.

Qualifications

• Experience coordinating workloads in housing/regulatory environment.
• Strong analytical skills to interpret data and performance information.
• Excellent organisational skills to manage priorities and deadlines.
• Confident communicator with colleagues, partners, landlords and tenants.
• Proficient in IT systems and Microsoft Office applications, especially Excel for data analysis.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate the Council's activities arising from the Renters' Rights Act and support new statutory duties.
• Collate, analyse and report service performance data, including government returns.
• Support Housing Standards Officers and managers with compliance and case management across private rented sector.
• Maintain accurate records and databases for operational and strategic decision-making.
• Act as a point of contact for landlords, tenants and partners, providing advice and coordinating responses.
