Job summary

HM Prison and Probation Service on the Isle of Wight is recruiting for an Operational Support Grade (OSG) to help run a busy prison. The role covers a mix of desk tasks and physical duties, including security checks, deliveries, visitor supervision, and monitoring communications.

You will work shifts including weekends and nights, and hold a full, valid UK driving licence. There is a clear progression path within the prison service for motivated individuals.

Responsibilities

• Security and searches at the gate.
• Manage deliveries to the site.
• Supervise visitors.
• Monitor phone calls and CCTV.
• Walk, lift and carry as part of daily duties.
