Job summary

His Majesty’s Prison and Probation Service. at HMP Isle of Wight is seeking an Operational Support Grade to help run a busy prison. You’ll be part of a supportive team performing gate security, deliveries, visitor supervision and monitoring calls and CCTV, combining desk tasks with physical work such as lifting and escorting vehicles.

There are varied shifts, including weekends and nights. A full UK driving licence is essential.

Responsibilities

• Support the day-to-day running of a busy prison as part of a small team.
• Carry out security and searches at the gate, manage deliveries, supervise visitors.
• Monitor phone calls and CCTV; perform desk duties alongside physical tasks such as lifting and escorting vehicles.
• Driving duties are essential; candidates must hold a full, valid UK Driving Licence.
• Work a variety of shifts, including weekends and nights, to keep operations running smoothly.
