Job summary

His Majesty’s Prison and Probation Service at HMP Isle of Wight is seeking an Operational Support Grade. You’ll support day-to-day running of a busy prison, doing a mix of desk tasks and physical duties such as security checks at the gate, managing deliveries, supervising visitors and monitoring phone calls and CCTV.

A full, valid UK driving licence is required. No formal qualifications are needed, but being able to communicate well under pressure and work as part of a team is essential.

Responsibilities

• Support day-to-day operations of a busy prison.
• Execute gate security and searches.
• Manage deliveries and oversee visitors.
• Monitor phone calls and CCTV.
• Assist with moving and escorting inmates when required.
