Job summary

Kingdom Services Group in Uckfield, East Sussex, is seeking a detail-oriented Binding Machine Operative / Print Finisher to join our busy print production team.

You will set up, operate, and maintain a range of finishing and binding machinery, ensuring materials meet exact specs according to job sheets before dispatch to clients.

Experience with guillotines, booklet makers, and binding equipment is preferred; a proactive approach to quality and workflow is essential in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Experience operating bindery and finishing machinery.
• Ability to interpret production sheets.
• Attention to detail with quality control.
• Basic preventative maintenance skills.

Responsibilities

• Machine operation: Set up, run, and monitor bindery and finishing machinery (folding, booklet making, creasing, trimming).
• Guillotine cutting: Safely operate polar guillotines to cut stock to exact specs.
• Binding & booklet making: Run booklet makers, wire binders, assist with case binding or hand-stitching.
• Quality control: Inspect finished products to ensure accuracy per job sheet.
• Routine maintenance: Basic troubleshooting, cleaning, and routine maintenance to minimise downtime.
• Workflow management: Use production systems to track progress and stay organized.
