Job summary

Kingdom People in Uckfield, East Sussex, is seeking a Binding Machine Operative / Print Finisher to join our print production team. You will set up, operate, and maintain binding and finishing machinery to produce high-quality printed materials.

The role is full-time, on-site in Uckfield, with pay £12.71 per hour and opportunities for cross-training in specialised equipment. Previous experience with bindery operations and guillotine systems is essential.

Qualifications

• Experience as Bindery Operator, Print Finisher, or Machine Operator.
• Hands-on experience with finishing machinery (Duplo booklet makers, creasing/trimming machines, laminators).
• Experience operating guillotine systems (Polar Guillotines).
• Competency in binding disciplines (wire binding, hand stitching, case binding).
• Familiarity with print workflow platforms (OneFlow System) is advantageous.
• Outstanding attention to detail with quality under tight deadlines.
• Reliable team player with proactive work ethic.

Responsibilities

• Set up, operate, and maintain finishing and binding machinery.
• Follow job production sheets to finish materials to required quality.
• Monitor folding, booklet making, creasing, and trimming processes.
• Safely operate guillotine cutting equipment to exact specs.
• Perform basic troubleshooting and routine maintenance to minimise downtime.
• Track work progress using production systems (OneFlow).
