Job summary

Leonardo UK is seeking a Principal Software Engineer for Test Environments (GCAP) to lead the development of robust test ecosystems for the Global Combat Air Programme. The role spans strategy through to implementation, including test rigs, simulation environments, and integrated solutions supporting UK and international collaboration.

You will work with cross-functional teams, deliver on cost, schedule and quality targets, and help shape the ISANKE and ICS test environments roadmap while

Qualifications

• Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Systems Engineering, or a related discipline.

Responsibilities

• Develop software and test solutions for physical and digital test capabilities.
• Deliver test environments from subsystem integration to hardware-in-the-loop and simulation.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to define Test Environment requirements.
• Contribute to GCAP ISANKE and ICS Test Environments roadmap.
• Support delivery of innovative test and compliance solutions across the programme.
