Job summary

The company UK is seeking a Principal Software Engineer – Test Environments for the Global Combat Air Programme (GCAP). You will develop test environments and software solutions spanning physical and digital test capabilities, delivering through hardware-in-the-loop and simulation environments while coordinating with MoD and international partners.

Based in the UK with occasional travel, you will work across engineering, procurement, IT and manufacturing to meet cost, schedule and quality

Qualifications

• Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Systems Engineering or related discipline.
• Experience delivering software solutions within a complex engineering environment.

Responsibilities

• Develop software and test solutions for physical and digital test capabilities.
• Deliver test environments across levels from subsystem integration to hardware-in-the-loop and simulation.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to define Test Environment requirements and support programme objectives.
• Contribute to GCAP ISANKE and ICs Test Environments roadmap.
• Support delivery of innovative test and compliance solutions across the programme.
• Work with Engineering, Procurement, IT, and Manufacturing teams to enable synthetic and airborne trials.
• Deliver solutions to cost, schedule, and quality targets and support PoC/demonstrations.
