Job summary

Oracle Corporation seeks a seasoned Construction Lead to direct data center buildouts for colocation partners. You will drive the startup and commissioning of large-scale facilities, ensuring on-time delivery, budget discipline, and adherence to design specifications and industry standards.

You will conduct rigorous site walks, manage risk mitigation, and maintain comprehensive documentation from design reviews to commissioning reports.

Responsibilities

• Lead startup and commissioning phases of major data center projects.
• Conduct detailed site walks and ensure construction meets design specs and industry standards.
• Develop and maintain documentation including design reviews and commissioning papers.
• Identify gaps in risk identification and mitigation and tailor solutions.
• Serve as primary contact between Oracle and colocation providers.
• Oversee installation of power, cooling, networking, and structured cabling systems.
• Select, negotiate, and manage contracts with external vendors, contractors, and suppliers to align with approved designs.

Creates, reviews, and maintains documentation, including design review, commissioning, and problem-solving papers. Implements and oversees quality control processes to ensure all construction activities meet design specifications and industry standards. Conducts detailed site walks and leads the startup and commissioning phases of major data center projects. Identifies gaps in risk identification and mitigation and develops tailored solutions to address these gaps. Serves as the primary point of contact between the company and colocation providers. Selects, negotiating, and manages contracts with external vendors, contractors, and suppliers, ensuring contract compliance and performance and construction activities align with the approved design plans and specifications. Oversees the installation of power, cooling, networking, and structured cabling systems.
