Job summary

AWE plc is seeking a Principal Supply Chain Development Manager to lead the Commercial Enablement Supply Chain Development function and drive the organisation’s enterprise-wide supply chain strategy. You will oversee supplier governance, market intelligence and ESG initiatives, guiding senior stakeholders and cross-functional teams to deliver long-term value.

The role reports into the Commercial Enablement Director and offers hybrid working with a mix of on-site and remote collaboration.

Qualifications

• Proven professional experience in supply chain development.
• Experience developing enterprise-wide strategic supply chain plans.
• Experience leading cross-functional teams and influencing senior stakeholders.
• Experience implementing supplier governance, SRM and contract management strategies.
• Strong communication skills and ability to articulate strategy to diverse audiences.

Responsibilities

• Define and deliver the enterprise Supply Chain Development strategy.
• Lead the Supply Chain Development and Supply Chain Intelligence teams.
• Embed robust supplier governance, SRM and performance frameworks across the organisation.
• Provide strategic supplier and market intelligence to inform executive decisions and long-term planning.
• Embed sustainability, ESG, SME participation, supplier diversity and social value in supply chain activities.
• Build relationships with senior internal stakeholders, government bodies, industry partners and strategic suppliers.
