Evan Craig is seeking a Principal/Associate Structural Engineer in Manchester to lead design on high-profile projects within a leading international multidisciplinary consultancy. You will drive technical excellence, mentor junior staff, and collaborate with regional and global teams.

The role emphasises client relationship management, business development, and delivering sustainable, cost-effective structural solutions across multiple sectors in the UK.

Qualifications

• Chartered status (CEng or equivalent) required.
• Degree in structural or civil engineering.
• Extensive background in structural design within a multi-disciplinary consultancy.
• Proficiency in structural analysis and software tools Tekla and Tedds.
• Desirable: Grasshopper for computational design.

Responsibilities

• Lead the design of structural engineering solutions for high-profile construction projects.
• Manage and develop client relationships locally and across the UK.
• Collaborate with global structural teams to deliver international projects.
• Drive business development and contribute to expanding the consultancy’s structural services.
• Provide leadership and operational oversight for the local structural engineering team.
• Take on regional disciplinary responsibilities within the structural group.
• Promote sustainability and energy efficiency in all design work.
