Job summary

Think Recruitment is partnering with a busy consultancy in Nottingham to recruit a Structural Engineer at Senior or Principal level. You will work with Chartered, mid-level and graduate engineers on a range of structural projects from conception to completion, including new build, refurbishment and heritage works.

The role involves producing designs, attending meetings, liaising with contractors and delivering high-quality technical outputs in steel, concrete, masonry and timber.

Qualifications

• Candidate must hold a 2:1 degree in Civil/Structural Engineering or equivalent.
• Post-qualification experience of 5+ years in civil/structural engineering required.
• Chartered or near-chartered status with a relevant body (MICE or MIStructE) preferred.

Responsibilities

• Produce preliminary and detailed structural designs with calculations and specs.
• Attend design, progress and client engagement meetings.
• Liaise with contractors, clients, and stakeholders on technical detailing.
• Design across steel, concrete, masonry and timber structures.
• Manage project cost, programme and sustainability criteria.
• Produce sketches, drawings and structural appraisal reports.
