Job summary

AECOM is recruiting a Principal Structural Engineer to join the Building Structures team in Nottingham. You will lead mid-large projects from concept to handover, delivering designs on time and to budget while mentoring engineers in a multi-disciplinary environment.

The role requires Chartered status, extensive structural engineering experience across sectors, and the ability to engage directly with Clients. The role offers a flexible hybrid working model and opportunities for career progression.

Qualifications

• Experience as a project leader in structural engineering with detailed design drawings and calculations.
• Proven track record across sectors including Defence, Justice, Education, Commercial, Healthcare.
• Experience delivering sustainable designs.
• Knowledge of governing structural design standards Eurocodes, BS, Building Regs.

Responsibilities

• Control commercial, managerial and technical aspects of projects.
• Prepare fee proposals with resources and programmes.
• Lead a team of engineers and technicians in building infrastructure schemes.
• Perform structural analyses and calculations for projects.
• Ensure quality, environmental and sustainability requirements are addressed.
