Job summary

The Citation Group in the United Kingdom is seeking a hands-on software engineer to contribute to a major platform transformation. You will own features end-to-end, shaping the way we build, test, and deliver software with an AI-native approach.

You will collaborate with a Tech Lead, drive CI/CD improvements, and contribute to platform-wide observability and security practices, delivering high-quality code and actively evolving our engineering processes.

Qualifications

• Experience delivering production software across full stack.
• Experience with CI/CD, automated testing, and IaC.
• Cloud familiarity (Azure/AWS) and containerization.
• Experience using AI as part of engineering workflows.
• Security-conscious development and code quality.

Responsibilities

• Write production-quality code across backend, frontend, and infrastructure.
• Own features from design to deployment with shipping readiness.
• Contribute to technical design and architecture discussions.
• Run spikes/POCs to evaluate approaches and reduce risk.
• Manage technical debt and keep codebase healthy.
• Decompose shared services into team-owned components.
• Contribute to CI/CD pipelines and automated tests.
• Build with observability: logging, metrics, and monitoring.
• Develop DevOps capability and operational ownership.
