Job summary

ClearRoute Limited in the United Kingdom seeks a Senior Platform Engineer to redefine production paths with an AI-enabled platform approach. You will own the design and delivery of modern developer platforms on AWS, building scalable, secure environments and embedding governance throughout the SDLC.

You will drive policy-as-code adoption (OPA/Sentinel) across pipelines, integrate AI tooling for code review and deployment decisions, and craft golden paths for onboarding and CI/CD.

Qualifications

• Strong AWS platform engineering experience (CDK, CloudFormation, or Terraform).
• Hands-on experience implementing policy-as-code (OPA, Sentinel, AWS Config, or equivalent).
• Deep understanding of CI/CD pipelines and modern path-to-production patterns.

Responsibilities

• Design and build AWS-native developer platforms that modernise the path to production.
• Extend policy-as-code principles into the SDLC (PR gates, compliance checks, pipeline guardrails).
• Integrate AI tooling to automate code review, security scanning, and deployment decisions.
• Define and enforce golden paths for service onboarding, CI/CD, and infrastructure provisioning.
• Build self-service developer tooling that reduces cognitive load and accelerates delivery.
• Ensure secure, scalable AWS environments using IAM, VPC, SCPs, and infrastructure-as-code.
• Collaborate with engineering teams to embed platform standards across the delivery lifecycle.
