Job summary

JPMorgan Chase is seeking an experienced software engineer to own and shape enterprise-grade Java solutions. You will lead design and implementation of secure, scalable systems on AWS, applying modern frameworks like Spring Boot, GraphQL, and REST.

The role emphasizes AI-enabled development with governance, incident readiness, and collaboration with senior leaders. You will engage with stakeholders, drive architectural decisions, and mentor junior engineers within a global technology team

Qualifications

Expert knowledge of SDLC, system design, development, testing and operations.
Experience coding with modern languages and database querying languages.
Strong Java and Spring Boot experience.
Experience building on cloud platforms (AWS) with GraphQL/REST and SQL/NoSQL databases.
Solid understanding of Agile, CI/CD, resiliency and security practices.
Experience enabling AI-driven development with governance and human-in-the-loop controls.
Strong understanding of responsible AI use and governance in engineering workflows.
Ability to influence senior technical leaders on safe scaling and reuse.
Background in CS/CE/Math or related field; Python preferred; TS/React preferred.

Responsibilities

Engage with stakeholders to translate problems into technical specs for engineering.
Lead technical meetings and align architecture with organizational strategy.
Architect and govern agentic AI-enabled workflows with enterprise tools and guardrails.
Design and implement secure, high-quality Java solutions.
Review and debug code, delivering end-to-end solutions with modern tools.
Leverage enterprise AI-assisted development tools to automate at scale.
Support products through life cycles, including production and incident management.
Contribute to engineering communities and foster inclusive team culture.
Mentor junior team members and promote diversity and respect.
