Job summary

RailwayPeople is seeking a Senior/Principal Rail Telecoms Design Engineer to join its in-house team in York (with potential Warrington or Cumbernauld consideration). The role offers hybrid work typically 3 days in the office and 2 days at home, with a seniority-based salary package and a strong focus on technical leadership across telecoms designs.

Qualifications

• Must have strong knowledge of station information and surveillance systems including CCTV, PA/LLPA and CIS.
• Experience delivering telecoms design within a rail environment.
• Ability to lead, support and develop other engineers and manage client relationships.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical leadership and telecoms oversight across the wider business.
• Support the continued development of the in-house rail design team and help grow the group.
