Job summary

Allianz UK is seeking a Principal Technical Pricing Analyst to shape pricing models and mentoring practices within the motor pricing team. You will lead model development, data preparation, and evaluation, driving innovation and collaboration across stakeholders.

You will operate in a hybrid setup from Allianz UK offices across London, Bournemouth, Birmingham, Bristol, Manchester or Guildford, with flexibility to work from other UK sites. Strong analytical and communication skills are essential.

Qualifications

• Solid knowledge of GLMs and probabilistic modelling.
• Experience with GBMs and machine learning techniques.
• Experience working with large data sources and datasets.
• Proficiency in Excel, Python and SQL; Databricks or similar tools.
• Experience with Radar and Emblem is beneficial.

Responsibilities

• Deputise for the manager and mentor junior team members.
• Lead development, enhancement and review of pricing models and data preparation.
• Back-test and analyse model impact; propose price adjustments.
• Ensure projects align with business objectives and communicate clearly to stakeholders.
• Drive pricing innovation and leverage additional data sources for insights.
• Share knowledge and best practices within the team.
