Job summary

Allianz UK is seeking a Principal Technical Pricing Analyst to shape models, methodology and mindset underpinning pricing across a large insurance portfolio, with a hybrid base in the UK.

You will mentor juniors, lead pricing innovations, work with data sources, and communicate with stakeholders to drive adoption and commercial impact.

The role includes training opportunities and flexible working arrangements, with access to DataCamp and Databricks Academy. Closing date 20/08/26.

Qualifications

• Solid knowledge of GLMs and GBMs would be essential.
• Experience with large data sources and credible modelling.
• Strong command of Advanced Excel, Python, SQL, and Databricks; familiarity with Radar/Emblem.
• Proven stakeholder management and ability to explain complex concepts to non-technical audiences.

Responsibilities

• Deputise for the manager and support the development of junior team members.
• Lead the development, enhancement and review of pricing models, including data prep and modelling plans.
• Back testing and analysis of model impact to propose adjustments to pricing.
• Ensure business objectives are understood and communicate robustly to drive adoption by stakeholders.
• Drive innovation and sophistication in pricing approaches, including new data sources.
• Share and promote knowledge and best practices within the team.
