Job summary

ISS STOXX is seeking a Principal Platform Engineer to lead the evolution of our global cloud platforms on GCP and AWS. You will design landing zones, mature self-service tooling, and drive platform services that boost developer productivity while maintaining security and governance.

You will help enable our AI transformation by building tooling and guardrails for AI workloads, collaborating with architecture, security, and product teams, and guiding complex technical decisions across global

Qualifications

10+ years in platform engineering or cloud engineering roles, leading large-scale enterprise platforms.
Proven track record designing and operating multi-cloud platforms on GCP/AWS.
Experience building cloud landing zones, governance, and self-service platforms.
Strong understanding of modern cloud architectures, containers, APIs, networking, and security.
Hands-on infrastructure as code with Terraform mastery.
Experience with CI/CD, automation, and platform tooling to improve developer productivity.
Familiarity with AI/data-driven workloads and governance considerations.
Proficient in Python and building reusable tooling.
Experience with observability stacks (DataDog/Prometheus/Grafana).

Responsibilities

Shape architecture and operational excellence of global cloud platforms across GCP and AWS.
Design and mature AWS landing zones aligned with GCP standards, governance and developer experience.
Develop and enhance platform services, self-service capabilities, CI/CD tooling and automation.
Contribute to AI transformation by enabling platform capabilities for AI workloads.
Act as technical authority during incidents and guide problem resolution.
Evaluate emerging tech, run proofs-of-concept, translate to reusable platforms.
Define engineering standards and ensure platforms meet current and future needs.
Drive reliability, observability, automation, security and cost efficiency.
Mentor engineers and promote best practices across teams.
Balance innovation with operational excellence and scalable delivery.
