Job summary

ASOS.com is seeking a Principal Machine Learning Engineer to shape the technical direction of AI-powered fashion discovery. You will own the architecture for personalised recommendations, search relevance, and AI Stylist experiences, shaping scalable ML platforms used by millions of customers.

You will mentor engineers, drive engineering excellence, and partner with ML Scientists, software engineers, and product managers to translate research into production systems while overseeing the ML

Qualifications

• Significant experience designing and operating large-scale ML systems in production.
• Strong ability to influence technical architecture across complex engineering ecosystems.
• Product-focused mindset with a passion for applying ML/AI to customer and business challenges.
• Experience across ML lifecycle: data analysis, feature engineering, model development, deployment, monitoring and continual improvement.

Responsibilities

• Own end-to-end technical architecture for ML systems powering personalised fashion experiences.
• Lead design and evolution of batch and real-time ML pipelines serving millions of users.
• Set direction for retrieval, recommender, and AI-powered discovery platforms across consumer journeys.
