Job summary

ASOS.com is seeking a Senior Machine Learning Engineer to join the Customer & Martech team in London. You will build and scale ML products that drive customer growth, marketing effectiveness, pricing and personalisation, using rich datasets spanning customer behaviour, transactions, and product data.

You will work with Applied Scientists, Data Engineers and ML Engineers across full lifecycle from ideation to deployment and monitoring.

Qualifications

• Experience building, deploying and operating ML systems in production.
• Strong software engineering fundamentals, including Python and modern practices.
• Experience building scalable batch and real-time ML pipelines in cloud environments.
• Solid understanding of MLOps, including deployment, monitoring, CI/CD and observability.
• Experience with large-scale data processing like Spark.
• Familiarity with ML frameworks such as PyTorch or TensorFlow.
• Ability to design reliable APIs and platforms for ML-powered products.
• Experience mentoring engineers and influencing technical direction.

Responsibilities

• Design, build and operate ML systems for customer engagement, marketing and pricing.
• Own end-to-end lifecycle of ML products: data ingestion, feature engineering, deployment and monitoring.
• Productionise ML solutions to run reliably at ASOS scale.
• Collaborate with Applied Scientists to translate research into production.
• Contribute to MLOps platform and tooling for scalable delivery.
• Shape architectural direction across ML products and platforms.
• Mentor teammates to uphold engineering quality and reliability.
