Job summary

ASOS is seeking a Senior Machine Learning Engineer to join the Search and Recommendations team in London. You’ll design, build and operate production ML systems powering personalised fashion experiences, from outfit discovery to product recommendations.

You’ll collaborate with ML scientists and engineers to deploy deep learning models, optimise pipelines and scale services for millions of customers. This role emphasizes leadership, mentoring and cross-functional partnership within ASOS.

Qualifications

• Experience designing, building and deploying ML systems in production environments.
• Strong understanding of ML engineering and software engineering practices.
• Hands-on with PyTorch, TensorFlow or similar.
• Experience training and optimizing models on large datasets and distributed compute.
• Experience with recommendation systems, ranking, personalisation or related ML domains.
• Knowledge of MLOps: deployment, monitoring and lifecycle management.
• Experience building reliable, observable services in cloud environments.
• Comfortable providing technical leadership and mentoring engineers.
• Strong collaboration in cross-functional product teams.

Responsibilities
