Job summary

ASOS.com in London is seeking a Senior Machine Learning Engineer to join the Search and Recommendations team, building the next generation of AI-powered fashion experiences.

You'll design, deploy and operate production ML systems powering outfit discovery, personalisation and intelligent product experiences across the customer journey. You will collaborate with ML scientists, software engineers and product managers, delivering scalable ML solutions and mentoring teammates.

Qualifications

• Experience designing, building and deploying ML systems in production.
• Strong understanding of ML engineering and modern software practices.
• Hands-on with DL frameworks like PyTorch or TensorFlow.
• Experience with large datasets and distributed compute.
• Experience with recommender systems, ranking, or personalization.
• Knowledge of MLOps incl. deployment, monitoring, lifecycle.

Responsibilities

• Design, build and operate production ML systems powering outfit discovery.
• Collaborate with ML Scientists to deploy deep learning models.
• Deploy and optimise batch and real-time models serving millions of customers.
• Contribute to ML capabilities and tooling across teams.
• Improve performance, reliability, observability and scalability.
• Shape architectural decisions and engineering best practices.
• Mentor and support other engineers.
• Promote strong ML engineering culture within ASOS.
• Contribute to shared ML capabilities used across teams.
