Job summary

ASOS is seeking a Senior Machine Learning Engineer to join the Search and Recommendations team, building AI-powered fashion experiences for millions of customers. You will design, deploy and operate production ML systems that power outfit discovery and personalised recommendations.

You will collaborate with ML scientists to deploy deep learning models, optimize both batch and real-time pipelines, and help improve reliability and observability across the ML lifecycle.

Qualifications

• Experience designing, building and deploying ML systems in production.
• Strong understanding of ML engineering principles and modern software practices.
• Hands-on experience with PyTorch, TensorFlow or similar.
• Experience training and optimizing models using large datasets and distributed compute.
• Experience with recommender systems, ranking or personalization.
• Knowledge of MLOps: deployment, monitoring, lifecycle management.
• Experience building reliable, observable, scalable services in cloud environments.
• Ability to provide technical leadership and mentor engineers.
• Strong collaboration with cross-functional product teams.

Responsibilities
