AtkinsRéalis is seeking a Principal Engineer in the HV Electrical Engineering group, based in one of our UK offices (Glasgow, Leeds, Birmingham or Epsom). You will lead a high‑performing team delivering FEED and detailed design for electricity transmission substations, while ensuring technical integrity and successful client engagement.

You will manage bids, conduct design reviews, coordinate with subcontractors, and drive business development in a collaborative hybrid work environment.

Formación

• Degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent.
• Chartered Engineer or working towards it.
• Experience leading technical teams on HV projects.

Responsabilidades

• Lead a team of engineers and support recruitment and development.
• Direct FEED and detailed design for HV substations.
• Oversee quality and bid submissions to high standards.
• Review HV plant layouts, earthing, interlocks and busbars.
• Coordinate interfaces with back-office engineers and suppliers.
• Manage tender processes for HV plant packages.
• Chair design and hazard review meetings; site visits as required.
• Develop client relationships and participate in business development.
