Job summary

Burendo is recruiting a Principal Full Stack Engineer to lead L2/L3 support across diverse applications and ecosystems. You will act as the technical authority, drive best practices, and mentor engineers while building strong stakeholder relationships across the business.

The role emphasizes end-to-end delivery, technical leadership, and on-call responsibilities within a managed service environment, with a focus on high-quality service delivery.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of at least two languages among Java, Python, Node.js or C#.
• Hands-on cloud architecture experience with AWS or Azure.
• Experience with infrastructure-as-code tools such as Terraform.
• Understanding of ITIL practices.
• Recent experience leading engineering teams.

Responsibilities

• Act as the highest technical escalation point within a managed service function.
• Set and maintain engineering standards across teams within the service.
• Lead the management and resolution of complex L2/L3 incidents.
• Lead root cause analysis and post-incident investigations for major incidents.
• Own service onboarding from a technical readiness perspective.
• Participate in an on-call rota, including out-of-hours incident response.
• Mentor and support the development of engineers at all experience levels.
• Work with service delivery colleagues to manage client relationships.
