Job summary

Kier Group plc in the United Kingdom is seeking a Principal Engineer to lead civil, structural and geotechnical work across diverse projects, focusing on temporary works design and management. The role involves delivering safe, buildable designs from concept through delivery for a broad portfolio.

We offer agile working with up to 1-2 days per week from home, a 40-hour week, and involvement in major infrastructure schemes from a pipeline exceeding £11bn.

Qualifications

• Chartered Engineer (CEng) or equivalent experience.
• Experience with temporary works design and/or management.
• Strong grounding in civil, structural and/or geotechnical engineering principles.

Responsibilities

• Leading delivery of a broad range of complex construction engineering services, including temporary works design and checking, and supporting tenders and planning.
• Acting as Project Lead for multiple complex projects, managing scope, programme and budget.
• Producing and reviewing calculations, drawings, models and risk assessments to ensure CDM/SHE compliance.
• Developing yourself and the team, contributing to continuous improvement of processes.
