Job summary

IRIS Software Group is seeking a Principal Engineer to shape architecture, engineering standards and the technical direction of our products. This senior role combines hands-on delivery with leadership, mentoring, and cross-functional collaboration to deliver scalable, secure cloud-native solutions.

You will champion modern software engineering practices, drive architectural decisions, and work with Product, Architecture, DevOps, and Support to ensure high-quality outcomes.

Qualifications

• Significant experience in software engineering with leadership of complex technical initiatives.
• Strong expertise in the Microsoft tech stack (C#, .NET, SQL Server, Azure) and cloud-native architectures.
• Proven ability to design, deliver and mentor across scalable, secure systems.

Responsibilities

• Provide hands-on technical leadership across software development teams.
• Lead design, development and delivery of scalable, secure software solutions.
• Drive architectural decisions aligning with best practices and business goals.
• Mentor engineers and champion modern engineering practices including CI/CD and observability.
