Job summary

Salesforce is recruiting a Principal Engineer for Fin, now part of Salesforce, to define and drive strategic initiatives across the engineering organization. You will build back-end and front-end systems, shaping architecture and mentoring others while collaborating with product managers, researchers and designers.

You will lead with a balance of hands-on development and high-impact architectural work, promoting agility, reliability and scalable deployments across multiple channels and teams

Qualifications

• Requires significant impact on product or teams.
• Experience leading engineering efforts and mentoring engineers.
• Familiarity with SaaS architectures and scalable systems.

Responsibilities

• Lead key strategic projects within the R&D org.
• Assess progress, risks and resource needs for leadership.
• Contribute to technical architecture as the org scales.
• Balance agility with scalability and availability, using feature flags.
• Involve in all phases of software development, with hands-on work and architecture.
• Work with AI-powered developer tools to solve meaningful problems.
• Mentor engineers and participate in hiring and career development.
• Raise technical standards for performance and reliability.
