Job summary

Stantec is seeking a Principal Electrical Engineer to lead EICA design for major water projects in Newcastle or Leeds. You will provide technical leadership across feasibility to construction, and mentor engineers while shaping project governance and client relations.

You will oversee delivery of electrical deliverables, guide design calculations, and drive continuous improvement within the Electrical Engineering discipline, while contributing to bids and framework growth.

Qualifications

• Degree in Electrical Engineering or related discipline.
• Chartered Engineer (CEng) or IEng, or equivalent experience.
• Significant experience delivering electrical or EICA design within water or comparable infra.
• Proven experience leading multidisciplinary engineering projects.
• Strong knowledge of electrical engineering standards, design governance and technical assurance.
• Excellent client relationships, communication and stakeholder management.
• Experience mentoring and developing engineering teams.

Responsibilities

• Lead delivery of electrical/EICA design from feasibility through construction support.
• Produce and review deliverables: SLDs, block diagrams, specs and calculations; provide technical direction.
• Mentor developing engineers and strengthen client relationships; contribute to bids and frameworks.
• Drive continuous improvement across the Electrical Engineering discipline.
