Job summary

Stantec is seeking a Principal Electrical Engineer to lead electrical and EICA design for water projects across the Midlands and South West. You will provide technical leadership, set design standards and coordinate multidisciplinary teams to deliver robust solutions.

The role emphasizes mentoring, client liaison and quality assurance across feasibility through construction support, with hybrid working options and a strong focus on sustainable infrastructure.

Qualifications

• Degree qualified in Electrical Engineering or related discipline.
• Chartered or Incorporated Engineer status, or working towards professional registration.
• Experience delivering electrical or EICA engineering solutions within complex infrastructure environments.
• Proven experience supporting or leading technical delivery across multidisciplinary projects.
• Strong understanding of electrical engineering design principles, specifications and technical documentation.
• Experience producing and reviewing deliverables such as Single Line Diagrams, Control Philosophies and technical reports.
• Excellent communication skills with the ability to build effective relationships with clients, stakeholders and project teams.
• Experience mentoring and supporting junior engineers.

Responsibilities

• Lead the delivery of electrical and EICA design solutions across major water and wastewater projects.
• Provide technical guidance and support throughout the full project lifecycle.
• Collaborate with clients, contractors and internal specialists to deliver innovative engineering solutions.
• Mentor developing engineers and contribute to the growth of our technical capability.
