Job summary

Stantec Consulting International Ltd. in the UK seeks a Principal Electrical Engineer to lead EICA design across major water projects. You will provide technical leadership, review critical documentation, and mentor teams while strengthening client partnerships on nationally significant programmes.

This role offers hybrid/flexible working across multiple UK locations, with a path to advance our Electrical Engineering capability within a leading multidisciplinary consultancy.

Qualifications

• Degree qualified in Electrical Engineering or related discipline.
• Chartered Engineer (CEng) or IEng, or equivalent experience.
• Significant experience delivering electrical or EICA design in water or similar infrastructure.
• Proven experience leading multidisciplinary engineering projects.
• Strong understanding of electrical standards, governance and QA.
• Excellent client relationship and stakeholder management skills.
• Experience mentoring and developing engineering teams.

Responsibilities

• Lead electrical and EICA design from feasibility through to detailed design and construction support.
• Provide technical oversight, governance and quality assurance across project delivery.
• Review and approve key electrical design documentation, calculations and specifications.
• Build strong relationships with clients, contractors and multidisciplinary teams.
• Mentor engineers, support business growth and contribute to bids and framework opportunities.
• Champion engineering best practice and continuous improvement across the discipline.
