Job summary
JCB Ltd is seeking a Principal/Senior Engineer to lead electrical design across Backhoe Loader and Site Dumper product ranges. The role drives harness architecture, component specification, and integration with Mechanical, Software, Systems, and Validation teams to ensure robust, scalable electrical solutions.
With 3–5 years in Tier 1 or OEM settings, you will mentor engineers, define release plans, and champion standardisation across platforms while aligning with PLM processes and global
Qualifications
- 3–5 years' experience in Tier 1 or OEM environments (on-highway or off-highway).
- HND or degree level in electronics-based discipline.
- Solid understanding of engineering quality systems and standards.
- Experience with electrical component placement and harness routing best practices.
Responsibilities
- Lead specification, design, and delivery of electrical components and harness architectures across JCB Backhoe Loader range.
- Own end-to-end delivery of wiring harness systems coordinating with EDS team.
- Define and release electrical components and harness assemblies with suppliers and manufacturing teams.
- Provide technical leadership and governance for electrical architecture decisions.
- Collaborate with India Design Centre and global teams to support design delivery.
