Job summary

AtkinsRéalis UK Limited seeks a Principal Dams and Reservoirs Engineer to lead multi-disciplinary design delivery across complex reservoir projects in the Water market. You will manage engineers, review technical deliverables and mentor colleagues while collaborating with client teams in the UK and overseas.

The role requires Chartered status, experience coordinating design delivery and a deep knowledge of earth/ concrete dams, flood walls, embankments and hydraulic structures.

Qualifications

• Degree in Civil Engineering or equivalent.
• Chartered or Incorporated Civil Engineer.
• Panel Engineer (or working towards).
• Experience coordinating or managing a design delivery team in a multi-disciplinary environment.
• Experience in the Water market is essential.
• Strong communication across multi-disciplinary teams.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate or manage a team of engineers and scientists for delivery of technical design work on reservoir and hydraulic structures projects.
• Produce and review design deliverables such as reports, drawings and calculations.
• Provide technical input into project design deliverables for reservoir and hydraulic structures.
• Collaborate with clients and other AtkinsRéalis teams.
• Mentor less experienced colleagues and grow capabilities in the team.
• Work independently with minimal technical guidance and apply judgement to solve problems.
