Job summary

AtkinsRéalis in the United Kingdom seeks a Principal/Associate Geotechnical Engineer to lead dam and reservoir projects from concept to construction, integrating geotechnical design, risk assessment and rehabilitation strategies.

You will manage client relationships, mentor engineers, and contribute to business growth while delivering safe, resilient water infrastructure with a focus on high standards and innovation.

Qualifications

• Degree in Civil or Geotechnical Engineering.
• Chartered Engineer (CEng) with a recognised institution.
• Extensive consultancy or major infrastructure delivery experience.
• Experience in design, assessment and rehabilitation of earth dams and reservoir embankments.
• Proven leadership of multidisciplinary teams and client engagement.

Responsibilities

• Lead geotechnical and dam engineering projects from concept to construction.
• Review ground investigation data and prepare technical reports.
• Provide technical assurance and independent review of deliverables.
• Develop client relationships and support business growth.
• Mentor junior and senior team members and promote engineering excellence.
