Job summary

AtkinsRéalis is seeking a Principal/Chief Civil Engineer for our Bridges and Civils team in the Transportation sector. You will lead high-quality civil and structural designs for rail projects, act as CRE or Engineering Manager, and collaborate across national and international teams to deliver sustainable solutions.

You will engage with stakeholders, guide junior staff, and contribute to bids and client relationships while staying abreast of design standards and industry developments.

Qualifications

• Degree in Civil or Structural Engineering or related discipline.
• CEng/IEng and membership of ICE or IStructE are preferred.
• Experience as CRE or Engineering Manager on railway schemes is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Act as a CRE for railway civil engineering projects or as Engineering Manager on multi-disciplinary schemes.
• Develop high-quality civil/structural designs for new builds, renewals, maintenance and assessments.
• Lead bids, manage stakeholders and deliver design documentation and reports.

Education

Degree in Civil or Structural Engineering
