Job summary

AtkinsRéalis in the United Kingdom is seeking an Engineer for Bridges and Civils within the Transportation business. You will develop high-quality civil and structural designs for bridges and railway projects, collaborating with national and international teams to deliver design documentation and analysis.

The role involves guidance to junior staff, bid support, and engaging with clients across engineering disciplines, with flexible and remote working options.

Qualifications

• Degree in Civil or Structural Engineering and progress toward chartership.
• Experience with Network Rail, National Highways or local authorities and major contractors.
• Good understanding of Eurocodes, DMRB, MCHW and Network Rail standards.
• Experience with structural analysis software such as LUSAS, MIDAS, ABAQUS/ANSYS/NASTRAN.

Responsibilities

• Develop high-quality civil and structural designs for bridges and railway projects.
• Collaborate with national and international design teams to create positive, sustainable impacts.
• Produce design documentation including sketches, drawings, 3D BIM, analysis models and calculations.
• Provide guidance to junior staff and support bids and tenders.
• Engage with clients and stakeholders across engineering disciplines.
