Job summary

Urenco Capenhurst seeks a Principal Control & Instrumentation Engineer to lead a team of C&I engineers across major capital programmes. You will provide technical leadership, FEED oversight, and ensure safety, quality and regulatory compliance.

You will guide design development, support project delivery, act as an intelligent customer for suppliers and contractors, and foster technical capability through mentoring and training across the Capenhurst/Birchwood sites.

Qualifications

• Degree in Control & Instrumentation, Automation, Electrical Engineering, or related.
• FEED experience and design oversight in regulated environments is preferred.
• Experience leading engineering teams on major plant/infrastructure projects.

Responsibilities

• Lead and mentor a team of C&I engineers and senior engineers.
• Develop FEED packages and guide conceptual/basic design.
• Ensure designs align with Urenco standards, customer requirements and best practice.
• Provide technical guidance throughout the design development process.
