Job summary

Urenco is seeking a Principal Control & Instrumentation (C&I) Engineer for Capenhurst/Birchwood. You will lead a skilled team, deliver FEED packages, and ensure designs meet Urenco standards and customer requirements. The role focuses on safety, quality, and compliance across major capital programmes.

You will guide design development, manage suppliers, and support project delivery while promoting SQEP capabilities and knowledge sharing within the engineering community.

Qualifications

Degree in Control & Instrumentation, Automation, Electrical Engineering or related field.
Professional accreditation or relevant specialist training desirable.

Responsibilities

Lead and mentor a team of C&I engineers and senior engineers.
Develop and deliver FEED packages including Conceptual and Basic Design.
Ensure designs align with Urenco standards and customer requirements.
Provide technical guidance throughout the design development process.
Oversee supplier engineering outputs and design deviations approvals.
Drive safety culture and continuous improvement in engineering processes.
