Job summary

Hoare Lea seeks a BMS Principal Engineer for the Digital Solutions Group to lead building management systems design, implementation and integration across diverse projects. You will advise clients, prepare technical documents, and ensure commissioning excellence with a focus on energy efficiency and reliability.

The role requires strong report writing, clear communication, and collaboration within multidisciplinary teams. Hybrid working and a comprehensive benefits package are offered in the UK.

Qualifications

Strong understanding of BMS design, implementation and integration.
Experience handling multidisciplinary projects within a consultancy setting.

Responsibilities

Provide expert advice, design support and technical consultancy across building management systems.
Prepare reports, specifications, design notes and commissioning documentation.
Communicate technical concepts through diagrams, flow charts and system topologies.
Evaluate and optimise BMS installations to improve energy efficiency, reliability and performance.
Support integration of BMS with wider ICT and building systems.
