Prospero Teaching is seeking Primary Teaching Assistants to support pupils across South Manchester on a supply basis. The role involves supervising small groups or working 1:1, 1:2, or 1:3, and assisting teachers in the classroom across Early Years to Key Stage 2.

Strong behaviour management is essential. Right to Work in the UK is required, and an enhanced DBS or willingness to process one is needed. Some roles may lead to longer-term bookings.

Primary Teaching Assistant - South ManchesterProspero Teaching is looking for Primary Teaching Assistants to work in schools across South Manchester.Acting as a work-finding service, we provide supply cover to a range of Primary, Secondary and SEND schools; from small village schools to large secondary schools. We are currently looking for Teaching Assistants to support students in Early Years all the way up to Key Stage 2 on a supply basis. Strong behaviour management skills are essential.Prospero Teaching work with both experienced Teaching Assistants and those first embarking on their career in education by helping you find your next position. Some contracts may be extended from day-to-day bookings to longer term cover.- Location - various locations across South Manchester including Wythenshawe, Northenden and Chorlton- Type of work - Support students either by supervising a small group of students in activities, working 1:1, 1:2 or 1:3 with students, aid the Teacher in the classroom.- Start date - October 2026- Duration - daily bookings, with the potential for extension depending on schools- Contract type - temporary- Part time and full time depending on schools' needs- Minimum rate of pay - £92.63 per day - rate negotiable dependent on experience and qualifications- Hours - 8:30 am - 3.30pm (full day), half day (am or pm), individual lesson cover.
