Job summary

Flying High Academy in Mansfield is seeking a Teaching Assistant to support pupils across the classroom under the guidance of the class teacher. The role includes whole-class support, small groups, and targeted 1:1 help for students with additional needs, fostering a positive learning environment.

You will promote positive behaviour, build relationships, and work with families to support inclusive learning while following safeguarding procedures and maintaining confidentiality.

Qualifications

• Enhanced DBS check.
• Satisfactory references.

Responsibilities

• Support pupils during teacher-led activities, encouraging independence and active participation.
• Support the whole class, small groups and 1:1 support for children with additional needs.
• Prepare and maintain a positive, engaging classroom environment, including displays and resources.
• Promote positive behaviour and support social development during learning and breaktimes.
• Build positive relationships with pupils to support their learning, wellbeing and personal development.
• Work collaboratively with class teachers, support staff and families to create an inclusive environment.
• Maintain confidentiality, uphold safeguarding procedures and model the school's values.
