Job summary

The Flying High Academy in Mansfield Woodhouse is seeking a caring Teaching Assistant to join our Grade 2 team. You will support children across the classroom, work with the class teacher and wider staff to deliver high-quality learning experiences, and ensure every child is fully supported.

You will assist with 1:1 or small group sessions, promote inclusive learning, maintain a positive classroom environment, uphold safeguarding and confidentiality, and contribute to our nurturing ethos where

Responsibilities

• Support pupils during teacher-led activities, encouraging independence and active participation.
• Prepare and maintain a positive and engaging classroom environment, including assisting with displays and resources.
• Promote positive behaviour and support children’s social development during learning and break times.
• Build positive relationships with pupils to support their learning, wellbeing, and personal development.
• Work collaboratively with class teachers, support staff, and families to create a nurturing and inclusive environment.
• Maintain confidentiality, uphold safeguarding procedures, and model the school’s values in all interactions.
