Job summary

The Flying Bull Academy is seeking a dedicated teaching assistant to support learning and promote pupil independence. You will work under the direction of the Class Teacher and SENCO, assisting with one-to-one and small-group activities, preparing resources, and supporting pupils with medical needs.

The role emphasises positive behaviour, strong communication with parents and colleagues, and the ability to work both independently and as part of a team in a primary setting.

Responsibilities

• Support children one-to-one or in small groups across a range of activities and prepare/maintain resources.
• Promote positive behaviour and foster a relational approach with pupils, parents, and colleagues.
• Assist with pupils' medical and personal hygiene needs as required.
• Contribute to learners' development including speech and language, learning, physical and mental well-being under guidance of the class teacher or SENCO.
• Demonstrate excellent interpersonal skills, resilience, and ability to work independently while fitting into a cohesive team.
