Job summary

Academics Ltd is seeking a compassionate Teaching Assistant to join a mainstream primary school in Cheltenham. You will support learning across key stages, work with class teachers, and help create a nurturing classroom environment where pupils feel supported and motivated to reach their full potential.

Qualifications

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Caring, patient and enthusiastic approach.
• Experience working with children or in education is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Support teachers in delivering engaging lessons across the curriculum.
• Provide one-to-one and small-group support to pupils.
• Support children's learning across core subjects including Maths and English.
• Assist with foundation subjects such as Geography and PE.
• Help create a positive, inclusive and stimulating classroom environment.
• Encourage children to develop confidence, independence and a positive attitude towards learning.
• Build positive relationships with pupils and provide emotional and pastoral support.
• Support pupils with additional needs, including ASD and learning difficulties.
