Job summary

Tradewind Recruitment is partnering with a welcoming primary school in Leigh to recruit a dedicated Year 4 Teaching Assistant for an ongoing, full-time position.

Responsibilities include supporting Year 4 pupils in small groups and on a 1-to-1 basis, delivering literacy and numeracy activities, and helping maintain positive classroom behaviour. You should have a Level 2 qualification in Childcare or Supporting Teaching and Learning and an enhanced DBS on update service, or willingness to apply.

Qualifications

• Experience as a Teaching Assistant in Key Stage 2 (Years 3–6).
• Willingness to work full-time on a long-term basis.
• Enhanced DBS on update service or willingness to apply via Tradewind.
• Legal right to work in the UK.

Tradewind Recruitment is currently partnering with a welcoming primary school in Leigh to recruit a dedicated Year 4 Teaching Assistant for an ongoing, full-time position.

Role Details

Position: Year 4 Teaching Assistant (Key Stage 2)

Location: Leigh

Start Date: Immediate / As soon as possible

Commitment: 5 days a week (Full-Time, Monday to Friday, ongoing basis)

Pay Rate: £94-£99 a day.

Key Requirements

• Experience: Previous experience working as a Teaching Assistant within Key Stage 2 (Years 3 to 6).
• Skills: Strong literacy and numeracy skills to effectively support students in Year 4, both in small groups and on a 1-to-1 basis.
• Approach: A patient, proactive, and encouraging attitude with fantastic behaviour management and communication skills.
• Commitment: Available to work full-time on a long-term, ongoing basis.

What We Are Looking For

• Hold a recognised Level 2 qualification (or equivalent) in Childcare or Supporting Teaching and Learning.
• A warm, approachable personality with a genuine passion for early childhood education.
• Enhanced DBS certificate on the update service (or willingness to apply for one through Tradewind).
• CV must cover the last 10 years of employment history where possible, and any employment breaks must be explained.
• Legal right to work in the UK.
