Position: Full-Time Teaching Assistant (1:1 Support & general TA duties)
Location: Cambridgeshire. You will work within multiple schools within the borough.
Start Date: Immediately

About the Role:

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Teaching Assistant to provide 1:1 support and general TA duties to our schools within Cambridgeshire. The ideal candidate will have experience supporting children on a 1:1 basis, with a nurturing and patient approach.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide dedicated 1:1 support to children with SEN, assisting with their learning, social development, and emotional well-being.
  • Support the class teacher in delivering tailored lesson plans and activities.
  • Encourage children's confidence and independence within the classroom environment.
  • Assist with academic tasks, including literacy, numeracy, and other subjects.
  • Monitor and record progress and provide feedback to the class teacher.
  • Foster positive relationships with children, ensuring a safe, nurturing, and inclusive environment.
  • Support classroom management and assist other students as needed.

Requirements:

  • Experience working with children, ideally in a primary school setting.
  • A passion for helping young children achieve their full potential.
  • Patience, flexibility, and a proactive approach to supporting children with diverse needs.
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively with staff, parents, and external professionals.
  • A relevant qualification in education or childcare (e.g., Level 2 or Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification) is desirable but not essential.
  • An enhanced DBS check will be required.
  • Ability to travel between schools is desirable but not essential.

Pay rates quoted include 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This position is temporary, with potential for permanent roles later.
