Tradewind Recruitment LTD is partnering with a popular 2-form entry primary school in Wigan to appoint a Year 5 Teacher (Upper Key Stage 2) for a long-term sickness cover, starting early November. This full-time role involves taking full classroom responsibility and delivering engaging lessons with support from a parallel-form teacher and teaching assistants.

The school seeks a QTS with UK curriculum experience, an up-to-date DBS, and the legal right to work in the UK.

Qualifications

• QTS with recent experience teaching within primary education (UK curriculum).
• Enhanced DBS certificate on update service or willingness to apply.
• CV must cover full employment history from leaving continuous education
• Legal right to work in the UK
• Strong familiarity with Upper Key Stage 2 (Year 5 or Year 6) curriculum
• Proactive, adaptable and resilient approach to long-term classroom assignment

This role is to cover a long-term sickness absence, starting right at the beginning of November after the half-term break, and offers a fantastic opportunity to make a positive impact on an enthusiastic cohort of students.

About the Role

Position: Year 5 Teacher (Upper Key Stage 2)

Schedule: Full-Time, long-term supply

As the Year 5 teacher, you will take full classroom responsibility, delivering engaging and creative lessons that prepare students for the transition into Year 6. You will be fully supported by a fantastic parallel-form teacher and experienced teaching assistants within the year group.

• Planning, preparing, and delivering high-quality, differentiated lessons aligned with the national curriculum.

What We Are Looking For-

• QTS (Qualified Teacher Status) with recent experience teaching within primary education (UK curriculum).
• An enhanced DBS certificate on the update service (or willingness to apply for one through Tradewind).
