Job summary

Tradewind Recruitment is seeking a dedicated Year 5 Teacher for a full-time position at a primary school in Hazel Grove, Stockport, starting in January. This is an excellent opportunity for a passionate teacher to join a primary school and deliver engaging lessons that challenge, motivate and support pupils as they progress through Key Stage 2.

You should hold QTS, have KS2 experience (ideally Year 5), and be adept at planning creative, well-structured lessons with strong English and maths

Qualifications

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) with experience in Key Stage 2.
• Experience teaching Year 5 in KS2 with strong subject knowledge in English and maths.
• Ability to plan engaging, well-structured lessons meeting diverse learner needs.
• Strong classroom and behaviour management to maintain a positive learning environment.
• Monitor pupil progress and differentiate instruction accordingly.

Responsibilities

• Plan and deliver creative, well-structured Year 5 KS2 lessons.
• Deliver lessons that challenge, motivate and support pupils.
• Monitor pupil progress and adapt teaching to meet diverse abilities.
• Maintain positive behaviour and classroom routines.
• Contribute to school-wide literacy and numeracy objectives.

Ideal Candidate

• Hold Qualified Teacher Status (QTS).
• Have experience teaching in Key Stage 2, ideally Year 5.
• Plan and deliver creative, well-structured lessons that meet the needs of all learners.
• Have a strong understanding of the KS2 curriculum, particularly English and maths.
• Use effective classroom and behaviour management strategies to maintain a positive learning environment.
• Monitor pupil progress and adapt teaching to support and challenge pupils of different abilities.
